The Belgian television channels ‘La Une & Tipik’ will change their reception frequency on the DVB-C television network.
The new frequency is 338 MHz (the new channel is S25). This is the same frequency used by TF1, Club RTL, RTL TVI, Ushuaïa, RTL Letz, etc. This change does not affect the TV+ service.
Both channels are currently being broadcast on both the old and new frequencies (simultaneous broadcast phase). The two channels in their current positions are marked ‘old_La Une’ and ‘old_TIPiK’. At the same time, both programmes on the new frequency are activated and marked with the names ‘new_La Une’ and ‘new_TIPiK’.
TechniSat decoders (which automatically search for channels when they switch to standby mode) and many televisions will automatically detect the new position. Customers will simply need to accept the corresponding message when it appears.
For customers for whom this does not happen automatically, it will unfortunately be necessary to perform a search or manually enter the frequency indicated above. This depends on the television set used. (This may affect the order in which channels are displayed on your equipment).
Current schedule:
- Tuesday 3 February: start of simultaneous broadcasting of both channels on both frequencies.
- Tuesday 17 February: launch of a banner on the old frequency to indicate that the channel has been moved and will be deactivated on this frequency.
- Monday 2 March: deactivation of the old position.
This change only affects older DVB-C technology equipment.
The TV+ service (interactive television) is not affected by this change.
